Let's Broc and Roll everyone! This week's surprise is the Broccoli Short Stack Recipe book with their fresh deliveries this week. The recipe book starts off with a great story of how Tyler used to be a picky eater and how he grew to love other foods. But one thing remained constant: his love for broccoli. This recipe book brings new energy and inspiration to this great and reliable ingredient.
Tyler Kord is a chef and restaurateur in New York City. He is the owner of No. 7 in Brooklyn's Ft. Greene neighborhood and the No. 7 Sub sandwich shops at the Ace Hotel, The Plaza, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. He has worked for chef Alain Sailhac at the French Culinary Institute and chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten at Perry St. Tyler also has a B.A. in English from Oberlin College and his parents can't believe that his education might have actually been a useful part of his life as he tries to write a cookbook that is not embarrassing.

The heart seed paper is coming from artist, paper maker, and Farm. One member, Randy Brozen. She lovingly made these hearts by hand from all-natural abaca fibers, added color with hibiscus tea, and embedded them with Genovese Basil seeds. These are wrapped in compostable and plant-based cellophane.
To plant these hearts and let love grow, soak the heart overnight in water, plant under a thin layer of soil, and keep it warm and moist until the seeds sprout. The heart itself will compost directly in soil.

From Rawsome Treats, this week's surprise is Ranch Cream Cheese. This is made from entirely plant-based and raw ingredients in New York City. Watt Sriboonruang, our guest on the Farm. One Podcast this week, just released this product and Farm. One members are one of the first to try it. Watt opened Rawsome Treats in 2013 to create desserts that were guilt-free! She only uses raw and plant based ingredients for her creations.
You can use this vegan cashew cream cheese as a dip (Watt loves it with apples), as a spread on fresh bread, and we love it especially with a little roasted cauliflower. Wow!
Ingredients:
cashews, olive oil, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, ranch seasoning (dried dill, ground black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder), Himalayan salt, probiotic

Harrison Hillier from Teens for Foods Justice and our guest on the Farm. One Podcast last week, has selected this surprise! The Bronx Greenmarket Hot Sauce from Small Axe Peppers is made from just 6 ingredients and right here in New York. The peppers are grown from over 70 community gardens throughout the Bronx, all in an effort to support urban areas. You can read more about their work and mission and the role of community gardens here!
This sauce is "a true explosion of flavor, harmoniously fusing to pleasure your palate." It's texture is close to a salsa verde and is a "use on anything" kind of sauce. Add to your favorite breakfast sandwich, as a salad dressing, or a Bloody Mary! Check out this video to learn more about Teens for Food Justice and other ways to use this hot sauce!

Maya's Jams is a three generation team that work together to create a tastier and sweeter world. The strawberries and local rhubarb fruit spread is made from all natural and organic ingredients. The fruit is sources from farms in the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains whenever possible. This jam recipe was passed down 5 generations from their Romanian ancestors.

Start your year off with something sweet! Enjoy candy brittle from Brittle and Beyond. Beth, the owner and a former pastry chef, uses only all-natural, plant-based ingredients, and adds a creative touch by enhancing it with a unique combination of nuts, fruit and floral flavors for the brittle.
How did Beth choose candy brittle as her business? As luck would have it, she made pecan pie brittle for a PTA fundraiser. When people couldn’t stop raving about it, “Brittle & Beyond” was born!

This week's surprise is GÄN Hot Sauce! We love this vegan GÄN because they are made in small batches right here in New York City. Eric Song, the creator and a friend of Rob's, launched this product after having some at a barbecue with friends. GÄN, meaning taste, flavor, or seasoning, is a homage to the creators' Korean grandmothers. Eric shared he likes it best with a classic NYC breakfast sandwich. It can also add some spice to grilled vegetables! We'd love to hear what you have it with. 🌶
