Episode 3: McPlant, Plastic, Farm Share, Jess & More

Watch on YouTube

This week is all about sustainability. Rob, Michael, and Ina are joined by Farm. One’s Technical Director, Jess Karol, talking through what's featured in this week's farm share subscription. Animal agriculture is responsible for the majority of the food sector’s greenhouse gas emissions. With McDonald’s announcement for its plans for a plant-based burger and other large food chains joining in, we share our thoughts on plant-based meats and their power to fight climate change. In addition, plastic use has increased twenty-fold in the past 50 years and is expected to double again in the next 20 years. We talk through the plastic crisis, what we believe a company’s role is in fighting this challenge, and why we’ve made the jump to reusable packaging for our customers. Jess shares what a typical day looks like for him and advice on how to succeed in the vertical farming industry.
