These mushrooms are grown by our friends at Smallhold, a Brooklyn-based mushroom grower that produces delicious, fresh, luxury mushrooms. Smallhold started growing mushrooms in 2017, intrigued by their mysterious nature and thinking they might be the key to feeding the world.
The Shrooms pack changes each week, featuring 16oz of one or more of the following mushroom varieties: Lion's Mane, Maitake, Royal Trumpet, Blue or Yellow Oyster, or Shiitake. Each pack is delivered in a breathable reusable container, so there is no packaging waste.
All Farm. One products are 100% plant-based (no meat or dairy or other animal products). Occasionally, products contain honey, which is clearly labeled.
Each delivery contains 16oz of luxury mushrooms.

Our delivery bag and containers are sturdy and reusable. We pick them up each week when we deliver. This saves around 156 plastic clamshell containers per person every year.
We deliver by bike to Manhattan and Brooklyn only. No trucks, no planes, no wasteful disposable insulation.
We get up early to harvest, blend and pack everything just a few hours before delivery. There is nothing fresher in New York, even the farmer's market.
We’re obsessed with local, rare, and unique flavors, striving to make each of your deliveries feel like the best trip to the farmer’s market. We believe in simple, whole food ingredients that are organic whenever possible, allowing high quality and surprising flavors to truly shine.
Mushrooms hold an array of unique myconutrients that may boost our immune function and trigger a dramatic rise in antibody production. They may also have anti-inflammatory effects, and appear to offer a boost in immune and anticancer function without aggravating diseases of inflammation.
Rare mushroom varieties like Lion's Mane may decrease the risk of dementia, speed recovery, and even help you focus.
You can find high-tech Smallhold mushroom farms in warehouses, basements… even inside of grocery stores and restaurants nestled above the bar or in the produce aisle. And wherever Smallhold grow mushrooms, they grow community.
Mushrooms and mushroom farming have a way of bringing all the weirdos in a city together, and they intend to keep it that way as they install each new farm around the country.
Smallhold's main farm is in Brooklyn.
