Lemon Basil Daiquiri: Plant Based Cocktails

Part 1: Lemon Basil Infused Rum
Ingredients
- 0.5oz Farm.One Lemon Basil
- 12oz White Rum (recommend Owney’s Rum or similar)
Method
With Lemon Basil in the jar, fill the included mason jar with your favorite light rum, making sure to cover all the Lemon Basil. Tightly seal and shake to completely saturate the herbs, and set aside for at least two days. Shake every day or so, and don’t be afraid to infuse for longer. When ready to use, remove the basil or strain into a separate bottle. Yields 12oz infused rum/six cocktails.

Part 2: Lemon Basil Daiquiri
Ingredients
- 1oz Simple Syrup
- 1oz Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 2oz Lemon Basil Infused Rum
- 1 Marigold
Method
Add the ingredients to one of your tins, fill with ice and firmly seal with the other tin. Vigorously shake until the metal is very cold to the touch. Strain through both strainers into a stemmed glass and garnish with a marigold flower.
