April 24, 2020One of my proudest quarantine cooking moments so far: this savory tart! I’ve long been inspired by @natashapickowicz’s resourcefulness - both personally and professionally; this @nytcooking recipe (and her IG highlight in their page) is all about using what you have, for “family meal” or otherwise. I was at the very end of my groceries, so I took a mish-mash of flours, some salted butter, kale stems (seconds from going bad), onion, shallot, garlic, lemon and an assist by @thepixieandthescout’s caramelized onion dip to make my version. Guys, it fucking RULED. It was beautiful and flaky and EASY (really). And the best part? The dough recipe makes two tarts worth, so I’m only seconds away from another... 🙃🤟🏻✔️
