Micro Shiso (Red)

Micro red shiso has a beautiful purple-red color to the leaves and stems. The flavor and aroma are similar to green shiso. Compared to other shiso varieties, micro red shiso hs a hint of ginger cinnamon. The leaves of the mature red shiso plant are often used fresh to wrap other ingredients; as a microgreen, the smaller red shiso sprigs are highly versatile. They are especially popular in accenting seafood preparations and across Asian cuisine.
